Larry Dickey was born on October 22, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, the son of the late John Thomas and Alma Maria Lemay Dickey.
On June 29, 1996 , he was united in marriage to Lillian Hobbs, who survives.
Mr. Dickey a retired truck driver for Elam Trucking. He loved sports, and loved spending time with his family, especially his kids, who he loved deeply.
He departed this life at his residence in Adamsville, Tennessee on May 28, 2017 at the age of 70 years, 7 months, and 6 days.
In addition to his wife of 20 years, he is survived by two daughters: Gwenn and Daffney Dickey; four sons: Greg, Scott, Vance, and Brad Dickey; four sisters: Wanda Dickey, Janice Doyle, Deborah Barker, and Donna Waters; two brothers: John Thomas and Kenny Dickey; six grandchildren: Jillian Landreth, Romee Tacker, Bradley Tacker, Cloie Collins, Zoie Jackson, and Hayley Jackson; and three great-grandchildren: Neyland Young, Sawyer Jackson, and Chance Landreth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Dickey and Darlene Butler, and two brothers, Robert and Danny Dickey.
