LARRY BARKER
Henderson, TN: Larry Wayne Barker age 81, passed away January 6, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Magoffin County, KY the son of the late Willitt Barker and Nola Jane Arnett Barker. He graduated from Jeffersonville High in Jeffersonville, IN. He moved to Houston, TX and met and married Madeline Jane Pippin, on December 6, 1960.
He worked as a material clerk at Cameron Iron Works in Houston. After his retirement they moved to Henderson in 2000. He loved to play golf, going to Woodland Hills every morning if it were not cold or raining. He had a shop at his home and enjoyed wood working.
He was a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church.
Mr. Barker is survived by his wife of sixty years, Jane Pippin Barker of Henderson; three sons, Gregory Barker of Denver, CO, Samuel ‘Gary’ Barker (Kim) of LaGrange, TX and Steven Wayne Barker of Cushing, TX; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, at Montezuma Methodist Church with Hiram Harrison officiating and burial will follow in Montezuma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday at the Church.
