L. E. Willis

L. E. Willis was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 29, 1916 the son of the late John and Maude Hanna Willis.On April 1, 1951 he married Jo Nell Ricketts, who preceded him in death on July 19, 2005.For 35 years Mr. Willis owned and operated Willis Exxon in Saltillo, Tennessee. He was a member of Hurricane Primitive Baptist Church. He was a resident of Saltillo all his life.Mr. Willis departed this life on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the age of 91 years, 5 months, 3 days.Mr. Willis is survived by 2 sons: Rick Willis and his wife Linda of Booneville, Mississippi, David Willis and his wife Sheila of Saltillo, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren: Courtney Willis Monaghan, Mary Beth Willis, Adam Willis, Andrea Willis Bradley; 4 great-grandchildren: Grace Monaghan, Mae Monaghan, Clark Bradley, Claire Bradley.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers:Earnest Willis, L. M. Willis, Defarius Willis; 3 sisters: Maurene Mitchell, Opal Shands, Mable Johnson, and one infant sister.
