Kenneth D. Pierce was born on April 28, 1935, the son of the late Jeff Davis and Lydle Carroll Pierce. On October 16, 1992, he was united in marriage to Elaine Pierce, who survives. Ken departed this life on June 20, 2020, at the age of 85 years.
Ken worked for the Ralston Purina Company for 33 years and had many achievements, awards and accolades. He enjoyed family, boating, building, and traveling. Ken is remembered as a successful business entrepreneur, avid sports fan — especially of the Arkansas Razorbacks — a mentor to many and a man who enjoyed a good glass of wine.
In addition to his wife of 27 years, Ken is survived by his sons, Kenny (Ken) Pierce and wife Christine of St. Petersburg, Florida, Terry Lane Pierce and wife Cheri of Southaven, Mississippi, Mark Kevin Pierce of Columbia, Tennessee; sister, Linda Hornsby and husband Roger of Sherwood, Arkansas; brothers, Jim Pierce and wife Linda Sue of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Larry Pierce of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Davy Joe Pierce and wife Mary of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Tony Pierce and wife Alicia of Bryant, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Benjamin Pierce, Jenny Pierce Corkran, Sarah Thornell, Taylor Pierce, Kegan Pierce, and Connor Pierce; and four great grandchildren, Reese Corkran, Anna Corkran, Jaxson Pierce and, soon, Harvey Thornell.
Memorial donations can be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
