Kenneth Ralph "Doc" Howell

Mr. Kenneth R. Howell, age 65 of Middleton, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2013 at Hardin Medical Center.
A native of Hardeman County, he worked in the timber industry, working for Hooper Timberworks and Calvin Elders. He also worked for the City of Bolivar with the Sanitation Department. He was born November 15, 1947, to Ernest L. and Vera Doyle Howell and lived most of his life in Hardeman County. He served a brief time in the US Army and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Howell; two daughters, Amanda Michelle Howell of Colorado Springs, CO and Melissa Ann Phifer of Jackson; five brothers, Sam Doyle of College Park, MD, Gaines Doyle, Harold W. Howell and Ricky Howell, all of Middleton and Roger Howell of Monterey, TN; three sisters, Shirley Mays of Bolivar, Betty Howell and Barbara McKee, both of Middleton; and four grandchildren, Chasey Elaine of Birmingham, AL, Caleb Vincent and Logan Leander Howell, both of Colorado Springs, CO and Alexis Rena Cottner of Jackson.
