Kenneth Frye

Kenneth Frye, 95, passed away Monday evening, December 20, 2021 in Jackson.

The widower of Jessie Pearl Frye, who departed this life on June 26, 2013, after 64 years of marriage, he was retired from Colonial Baking Company in 1985. He was born Wednesday, August 25, 1926, in Hardeman County, son of the late Albert Leonard Frye and Dovie Webber Frye and lived in Hardeman County prior to moving to Jackson in 1960. He served two years in the US Navy during World War II as a Seaman first class, and enjoyed doing yard work, tending to the flowers, working with cars and generally just keeping busy, always doing things around his home. Mr. Frye was a member of New Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Brown (Joe) of Jackson; two sons, Kenny Frye (Carla) of Beech Bluff and Michael Allen Frye of Jackson; a brother, Huey Frye of Kentucky; 3 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Frye and a half brother, Weldon Frye.
