Kenneth Ferge

Mr. Kenneth Ferge, Sr., 60 of Somerville, passed from this life August 15 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
A native of Memphis, he was born October 7, 1952 to Lester 'Jack' Ferge and Ruby Thompson Ferge and lived all of his life in Somerville and Laconia. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years with Fayette County Public Works Department. he enjoyed working in his shop and with his cows, and spend time with his family.
Survivors include his fiance, Wanda Roberts of Somerville; two sons, Bobby Ferge (Nikki) of Somerville, Kenny Ferge (Renee) of Somerville; a brother, Ray Ferge of Whiteville; his mother, Ruby Ferge of Somerville; three stepchildren, Jennifer Bishop of Whiteville, Lisa Anderson of Slayden, MS and David Long of Whiteville; seven grandchildren, Rebecca. Hannah, Hayden, Dalton, Payton, Cheyenne and Hunter; and seven stepgrandchildren, Jacie, Jared, Jacob, Chelsea, Chrissy, Owen and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Ferge and a sister, Helen Faye Ferge.
The family requests memorials be directed Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
