Kenneth Charles (Kenny) Christian of Westpoint, TN was born April 25, 1945 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the son of the late Harry and Marie Shipman Christian. He was united in marriage to Alice Elois Risner on December 2, 1969 and she preceded him in death on May 20, 2007.
Mr. Christian was the owner of Christian Forest Products, former truck driver for Angelica Corporation and Hassell and Hughes Lumber Company, and was a former gas station owner/operator.
Mr. Christian departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the home of his neice in Cypress Inn, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 11 Months, 24 Days after a short illness.
He is survived by sons, John Christian of Westpoint, TN, Rocky Daniel of Waynesboro, TN, Ricky L. Tilley of Nashville, TN, Randy D. Tilley of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Tara Christian Crews, Brenson and Britney Berry, Jessica, Nicole, Conner, Brandon, and Aubree Daniel; great-grandchildren, Ann Marie Crews, Abrianna Berry, and Natalee Binion; a sister, Juanell Christian Moore of Cypress Inn, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Janice Burbank of Florence, AL.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Christian was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Christian Berry; a sister, Shirley Christian Brewer.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Allen Berry, John McDonald, and Josh Stults officiating. Masonic rites will be given. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, directing. Pallbearers will be Brenson Berry, Josh Crews, Bronson Berry, Christian Roberson, Justin Brewer, John McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Brewer ,Raleigh Risner and Tim Moore
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
