Kenneth Barnes, 87, of Hornsby, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mr. Barnes was born June 8, 1919 in Hardeman County, son of the late Tom Dallas Barnes and Sarah Erema Fawcett Barnes and lived here all of his life working as a farmer and as a production worker at the tannery. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII in the South Pacific for four years.
Services were 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Robert Campbell officiating. Burial was in Rehobeth Cemetery near Middleton.
He is survived by two sisters, Lucille Barnes and Margaret Cox and one brother, Billy Barnes, all of Hornsby; three nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Bobby and Joe Barnes and one sister, Madge Barnes.
