Kennedene Anne Bryson was born August 10, 1934 in Mattoon, IL the daughter of the late Kenneth V. Price and Alberta Mae Roberts.
She was united in marriage on November 12, 1950 to Billy Junior Bryson, who served in WWII and in the Korean conflict. Mr. Bryson preceded her in death on January 6, 2023.
Kennedene, who touched the lives of many with her kindness and creativity. A member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church in Pocahontas, Tennessee, she dedicated herself to her faith and community. Kennedene devoted 20 years of her life working at the Shelby Court House in Shelbyville, Illinois, and also contributed her talents to a real estate company in Tucson, Arizona.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kennedene was an avid artist; her passion for painting, drawing, and coloring brought joy not only to her but to all who admired her work. She found solace in sewing, crocheting, knitting, and quilting, often inspired by her love for anything Pioneer Woman. Her heart was also warmed by the stories found in Amish novels and the teachings of the Bible.
Mrs. Bryson departed this life on February 26, 2025 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 6 Months, 16 Days.
She is survived by her children: Billy Joe Bryson (Lisa) of Lockwood, MO, Kennelee Anne Lee (Bengt Bengtson) of Charleston, IL, Cathy Rankins (Billy McCormick) of Selmer, TN, Christopher Bryson of Yuma, AR, Carrie Beth Burchette of Middleton, TN, a brother, Danny Roberts of Mattoon, IL; 14 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and beloved dog "Bootsie".
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bryson was preceded in death by three brothers; two grandchildren, Clinton Lee and Timothy Bryson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
