On July 25, 2024, Kendall Summers peacefully departed this life in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 9 Months, and 26 Days. Born on September 29, 1941, in Ramer, TN to the late Lonnie Carol and Candice Mardell Teague Summers, Kendall's journey was one of unwavering dedication and profound love.
For over four decades, Kendall served as a rural mail carrier in his beloved hometown of Ramer, TN. His commitment extended beyond work as he devoted himself to the Ramer Baptist church, where he was a lifelong member. He served as Sunday school director for 30 years and cherished his church family. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 6 years.
An individual deeply rooted in community spirit, Kendall exemplified selflessness through his various engagements. From his involvement with the Ramer Ruritan club, Ramer Dixie Youth, Kendall's impact was felt far and wide. His service as city commissioner and vice mayor of Ramer underscored his dedication to improving his community and those who lived there.
Among his many passions were growing watermelons and fishing - simple joys that brought him immense happiness. However, nothing compared to the joy he found in spending time with his grandchildren. If you knew Kendall, then you know he loved listening to Christmas melodies throughout the year.
Kendall Summers leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and service to others. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Summers; daughters, Bridgett Summers Maness (Joey) and Nikki Summers Farmer (Paul); stepson, Jason Stack (Christina) and stepdaughter, Lisa Isley; brother, Ronald Summers (Gladys); ten cherished grandchildren: Caroline, Carly, and Cadey Maness; Samuel and Zoe Farmer; Caitlyn and Alex Stack; Emma, Jackson, and Maddie Isley; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice.
