KATIE PHILLIPS
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on September 8, 1937 the daughter of the late Barley Russell and Willie D. Yerby Franks.
On February 18, 1955 she was united in marriage to Edgar Phillips, Jr., who preceded his wife in death on February 25, 1981.
Mrs. Phillips was a Floor Supervisor for Savannah Manufacturing. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Mrs. Phillips was a big Atlanta Braves fan and she enjoyed traveling. Being a Mother was her best job in this world, she had a great heart and loved all. Mrs. Phillips was also known for her great home cooking.
She departed this life on October 6, 2007 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 70 years and 28 days.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by one daughter, Katrina Littrell and her husband Lynn of Jackson, Tennessee.
5 sons, Terry Phillips and his wife Shelia of Savannah, Tennessee, Donald Phillips and his wife Connie of Adamsville, Tennessee, Eddie Phillips and his wife Mitzi of Savannah, Tennessee, Shannon Phillips and his wife Paula of Selmer, Tennessee and Greg Phillips of Savannah, Tennessee.
11 grandchildren, Ashleigh Littrell, Kacey Phillips McFall, Chris Phillips, Kerry Phillips, Krystal Phillips, Chelsea Phillips, Trent Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Landon Phillips, MaKenzie Phillips and Ansley Phillips
5 great-grandchildren, Kassidy McFall, Nicholas McFall, Lauren Phillips, Bryce Phillips and Brayden Phillips
one sister, Shirley Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee and one brother, L. B. Franks of Loudon, Tennessee.
Mrs. Phillips was also preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Gillihan.
