Katie Perry

Katie Brown Perry of Waynesboro, TN was born June 13, 1936 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Frank G. and Hettie Stockard Brown. She was united in marriage to Jasper Thomas Perry on March 8, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2021.

Mrs. Perry was a retired factory worker and a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Mrs. Perry departed this life on December 26, 2022 at her home at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 13 Days.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by
a grandchild, Becky Cooper; sons-in-law, Johnny Andrews and Billy Cooper; brothers, Walter Brown, Chester Brown and Edwin Brown and sisters, Elizabeth Brown, Irene Brown, Edith Dixon and Naomi Walker.

She is survived by daughters, Neva Andrews and Eva Cooper of Waynesboro, TN, Deborah Wilson of Lewisburg, TN and Brenda Staggs and husband, Mike of Lawrence Co, TN; grandchildren, Sheryl Skelton, John Thomas Andrews, Kathy Carroll, Bobby Cooper, Stacey Battles, Chris Cooper, Kevin Andrews, Michael Staggs and Kayla Robinson; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on December 29, 2022 at 3 pm at the Gallaher Cemetery in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Mitchell L. Skelton officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN is assisting the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4:30 pm to 8 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN.

Pallbearers will be Michael Staggs, Caden Daniels, Matthew Robinson, John Andrews, Kevin Andrews and Tyler Andrews.Tucker Andrews and John Austin Skelton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
