Katie Sue Blount

Katie Sue Blount was born on November 05, 1925 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Evan Wylie and Mary Elizabeth DeBerry Freeman. 

On June 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to James Douglas Blount, who preceded her in death on February 08, 2013. 

Katie was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. 

Katie Sue Blount departed this life on January 15, 2024 at the age of 98 years, 2 months, and 10 days. 

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Jean House and husband Steve of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Vickie Blount; grandchildren, Jason House and wife Mary, Diana Livingston and husband Phil, and Jill Ann Blount-Clark and husband Jimmy; and great grandchildren, Sawyer Livingston, Olivia House, and Kastin Clark.

In addition to her parents and husband, Katie was preceded in death by her infant son, Jonathan Blount; son, Richard Douglas Blount; and brothers, Ellis Freeman, Joe Freeman, and Jimmy Jack Freeman.
