Kathryn Hill Anderson was born on February 18, 1933, in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Barney Clay and Nanny Griffin Hill. On October 13, 1957, she was united in marriage to Rufus Austin Anderson, who preceded her in death on November 7, 1984.
Mrs. Kathryn worked for Clifton Manufacturing, where she later retired. She lived in Clifton, Tennessee and was a member of the First Baptist Church where everyone knew her as a kind and loving Christian. She loved everyone as if they were her family, always looking for the good in people, never speaking an unkind word to anyone. She was also loved by many, including family and friends. Mrs. Kathryn loved to walk, sew and cook; and took pride in ironing for those who asked her. She also enjoyed all types of puzzles and watching her favorite tv show, Wheel-of-Fortune. She loved her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to brag about her "grandkids" and "great-grandkids." Overall, Mrs. Kathryn's emphasis in life was for others, always looking for ways to help them and making sure they were accepted and happy.
Mrs. Kathryn departed this life on September 20, 2014, at Savannah Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 2 days.
She is survived by her children, Richard Lynn Anderson, Dana Kaye Pevahouse, Timothy Austin Anderson and Robert Jeffrey Anderson, all of Clifton, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Craig Austin Pevahouse, Eric Lynn Anderson, Christopher Blake Anderson, Tabitha Nicole Anderson, Jessica Marlana Beersdorf, Cecilee Brooke Anderson, Caitlyn Leigh Pevahouse, Laura Kathryn Anderson and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Eunice Hill of Hohenwald, Tennessee and a sister, Johnnie Alley of Clifton, Tennessee; and a special friend, Kelley Jones of Clifton, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Hill and Jerry Wayne Hill and two grandchildren, Courtney Brianne Anderson and Rachel Ashley Anderson.
