Katheryn King, 89, of Medon, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 at
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Curtis Owen King, who died March 15, 1982 after 45
years of marriage, she was a homemaker. Mrs. King was born July
31, 1915 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Richard and
Lula Armstrong Goodman. She lived here until 1978 when she
made her home in Madison County. Mrs. King was a member of
New Union Baptist Church.
Services were 2 pm Saturday, February 5 at New Union Baptist
Church with Danny Moss and Orville McMahan officating. Burial
was in New Union Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of
Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Gary King of Medon and one sister,
Robbie Hearn of Jackson. She was preceded in death by one sister,
Muriel Sparr and one brother, Curtis Goodman.
