Karla Beck

Karla Beck, a beloved homemaker and cherished family member, passed away on September 15, 2024 in Bolivar, Tennessee, at the age of 56. Born on September 13, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karla was the heart and soul of her family, nurturing those around her with unwavering love and kindness.

Karla’s journey through life took her from the landscapes of Florida to Oklahoma and Memphis, ultimately settling in Whiteville just three months before her passing. Her home was a haven filled with warmth, where laughter echoed and memories were made. Karla displayed a remarkable spirit, embracing challenges with grace, especially after becoming disabled. Even during her difficult times, she remained a beacon of positivity, always focusing on the joys of life and the love of her family.

Her artistic flair was evident in everything she touched, from the exquisite cakes she decorated to the moments she created with her children and grandchildren. Karla’s love for crafting memorable experiences was matched only by her genuine commitment to making her family feel cherished. She gained great joy from spending time with her children, David Teague, Victoria Leaders, Tayelor Napper and Lillian Rose, as well as reveling in the company of her 13 grandchildren, always savoring each precious moment held together.

An adventurous spirit, Karla once rode for two years with Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), fighting for the protection and well-being of children. This chapter of her life reflected her boundless compassion and her dedication to creating a safer world for the young and vulnerable.

Karla is survived by her loving husband, John Beck of Whiteville, alongside her children, David Teague of Ft. Myers, FL, Victoria Leaders of Bonita Springs, FL, Tayelor Napper and Lillian Rose, both of Whiteville, her brother, Bill Teague of Lillian, Alabama, and her sister, Candi Dames of Deer Park, Texas. She also leaves behind her father, Dave Teague, and stepmother, Dorothy, of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Additionally, her memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren, who will carry her legacy of love and creativity forward.

Karla was preceded in death by her mother, Pam Teague, and her biological father, Ron Gard. Though they are no longer with us, their influence and spirit live on through Karla’s rich legacy of family and art.

As we reflect on Karla Beck's extraordinary life, we remember not only her talents and accomplishments but also the love she shared so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain alive in the vibrant memories she fostered and the lives she touched in her beautifully unique way.
