Karen Ann Swiney

Karen Ann Bryson Swiney of Collinwood, TN was born March 2, 1952 in Wyandotte, MI, the daughter of the late J.B. and Irma Marie Shepard Bryson. She was united in marriage to Terry Lee Swiney on July 18, 1970.



Mrs. Swiney was a part-time school bus driver for the Wayne County Board of Education, was a member of the church of Christ, and was the president of the Square Quilters Guild of Waynesboro, TN. She had lived in Wyandotte, MI, Wayne, MI, Riverview, MI, Lincoln Park, MI, and Woodhaven, MI before moving back to Collinwood, TN.



Mrs. Swiney departed this life on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at her home at the age of 61 Years, 3 Months, 14 Days.



She is survived by her husband, Terry Lee Swiney of Collinwood, TN; a son, Ethan Lee Swiney of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Erin Leigh Walton of Locust Grove, GA; two grandchildren, Madison Faith and Abbigal Leigh Walton ; a brother, Patrick Shepard Bryson of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Brenda Joan Tittle of Grosse Ile, MI and Jackie Faye Powell of Newport, MI; 10 nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.



In addition to her parents, Mrs Swiney was preceded in death by brothers, Rickey and Jimmy Bryson; a sister, Bonnie Carol (TaTa) Byrson; grandparents, William and Minnie Shepard and Noah and Waymon Bryson.



Services will be Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Collinwood Church of Christ in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Randall Roby officiating. Burial will follow in the Shawnettee Memory Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jeff Powell, Josh Powell, Jimmy Bryson, Billy Holt, Paul Hammack, and Anthony Hinton.
