Henderson, TN: Karen Denise Hilliard Carson age 63 passed away Monday March 28, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare - Regional Jackson.
She was born December 9, 1952 in Dyersburg and grew up in Memphis, the daughter of the late J.W. and Jewel Laverne Dew Hilliard. She graduated from Tredwell High School in Memphis and married Eddie Carson in 1971. They lived in Memphis where she worked at the police station and the telephone company. They moved to Henderson in December 1995. They opened Eddie’s Auto Repair in 1996 and Mrs. Carson was the bookkeeper and accountant. She was a member of the New Beginning Church.
Mrs. Carson is survived by her husband, Edward Cecil ‘Eddie’ Carson, Jr. of Henderson; three sons, Edward Cecil Carson, III, of Henderson, James Kevin Carson and wife Shanel of Atoka and Richard Allen Carson of Henderson; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a sister, Trudy Ray of Benton, AR.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey chapel with Ken Kitchen officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM Friday until service time.
