Karen Sue Davis Baker

Karen Sue Davis Baker of Carbon Hill, AL was born May 8, 1960, the daughter of the late Edward and Rilla Mae Pope Davis. Mrs. Baker departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 62 Years, 6 Months, 24 Days. She had lived in Waynesboro, TN and Greenhill, Alabama before moving to Carbon Hill, AL. She is survived by her husband Terry Baker of Carbon Hill, AL; a son, Adrian Butler, wife, Pam of St. Joseph, TN; a daughter, Shannon Hobson, husband, Ricky of Lawrenceburg, TN; stepdaughter, Shannon Baxin and husband, Hosea of Savannah, TN; grandchildren Tailor Scott, husband, Alex, Kiley Daniels, husband, Landen, Blake Butler, wife, Brandi, Michael Butler and Daren Butler; a sister, Patricia Staggs, husband, Jake of Clifton, TN; four great-grandchildren and her loving Shih Tzu Max. In addition to her parents, Mrs Baker was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Davis and a sister, Janice (Davis) Fuhrman. Services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Geneva Middleton and Jake Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, 104 W. Hill Street, Waynesboro, TN assisting the family. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 10 am to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Erik Staggs, Landen Daniels, Alex Scott, Brian Staggs, Jeremy Hobson and Tristen Kennedy.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital in her honor.
