Justin Corey West

Justin Corey West, age 17, of Bolivar, departed this life Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis following complications from an automobile accident. He was a senior at Bolivar Central High School.

Justin was born in Jackson and had lived all of his life in Bolivar. He was active at the Bolivar First Baptist Church. At BCHS, he was a member of the baseball team and assisted the office staff and teachers during his fourth block each day. Justin enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his friends and "giving out smiles and hugs." He especially enjoyed the time spent with his girlfriend, Kayla Malynn.

He leaves his mother and step-father, Terri West and Mark Pachl of Bolivar; his father and step-mother, Johnnie and Diane Chism of Toone; his half-brothers and sister, Andre, Brandon, Raven and J. C. Chism; his maternal grandmother, Flossie West of Decaturville, TN; his girlfriend, Kayla Malynn and her parents, Greg and Tresha Diffee; his godmother, Debora Bird; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Glen West; and paternal grandmother, Ezell Macon.
