Thomas Vestal, Jr.
Savannah, Tennessee: Mr. Junior Vestal, age 82, died at his home on November 13, 2008.
He was born and reared in Chester County, (Jacks Creek Community). He was the son of the late Thomas Farrow and Sarah Louise “Sally†Davidson Vestal. He went to schools in Chester County and was drafted into the U.S. Air Force in WWII. He married Lucille Spencer in 1948 and they made their home in Chester County. He had worked at Milan Arsenal and at Murray Guard. He had been a musician all of his life playing with many big name stars as Ernest Tubbs, Chet Atkins, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Sr. and many locals like Carl Perkins and Eddie Arnold just to name a few. He mainly played guitar but could play any stringed instrument. Junior like to be around his home and did not travel like many musician, but music was his life.
He is survived by a daughter Marilyn Jeane King and husband Larry of Pinson, TN.,
three grandchildren Stevie King, Jeromy King and Angela Befield and five great grandchildren, and a nephew Roger Vestal.
He was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Vestal.
