Henderson: Dueprez Stewart, Jr. age 77, died June 11, 2008 at his home as the result of a farming accident.He was born in Memphis, TN, and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Dueprez, Sr. and Lenie Lea Opal Morris Stewart. He attended school in Shelby and Chester Counties. In 1951 he was married to Margaret Dungan. He served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1949 until 1961. He worked in Memphis from his childhood doing various jobs. He drove a Memphis street railroad bus from 1953 until 1961. They then moved to Henderson where he farmed and drove a school bus for the Chester County Board of Education and was a mechanic in the bus barn. He had driven a school bus for 48 plus years. Mr. Stewart was always busy doing many things for many people. He was a member of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two sons; David D. Stewart of Henderson and Michael W. Stewart and wife Holly of Everett, Washington; six grandchildren; Jimmy Stewart, Crystal Prins, Dustin Stewart, Dawn Murphy, Nick Stewart and Westley Stewart; two great grandchildren; Dylon Murphy and Jared Lee Stewart, and a brother, Billy Joe Stewart of Adamsville.He was preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Dungan Stewart, May 2004 and also a brother Robert Lee Stewart in 2006.
