Julius "Jupie" Bishop, 69, of Moscow, died Friday, June 24, 2005 in Arizona.
The husband of Mamie Sue Seward Bishop, who survives, he was a truck driver. Mr. Bishop was born March 10, 1936 in Vildo, Tenn., son of the late Leo and Bertha Alvina Haase Bishop and lived for many years in Fisherville. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
Services were 1 PM Friday, July 1, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Fisherville with Jack Moore officiating. Burial was in Melrose Cemetery near Whiteville. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements.
In addition to his wife, whom he married June 25, 1977, survivors include two sons, Gregory Bishop of Memphis and Stan Forester of Moscow; one daughter, Cindy Stafford of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Louise Murphey of Martin, Elizabeth Ann Campbell of Bells, Carolyn Duncan of Stanton and Linda Vawter of Jackson and five brothers, Carl Bishop of Moore, Okla., William Bishop of Whiteville, Joe Bishop of Bruceton and David and Bert Bishop, both of Bolivar.
