Was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on July 8, 1931 the daughter of the late Warren and Nettie Lee Brown Murphy.
She was united in marriage to James Paulk Murphy, who preceded his wife in death on November 2, 1981.
Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and attended Wards Church.
She departed this life on April 3, 2006 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 26 days.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by 2 sons, Charlie Murphy of Olive Hill, Tennessee and James P. Murphy of Savannah, Tennessee.
One daughter, Deborah Thompson of Adamsville, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren, Chelsea Thompson, Isaac Thompson, Brandon Garrard, Rebecca Harville, Kenneth Murphy and Jeremy Murphy.
4 great-grandchildren, Kelsi and Kade Garrard, Natalie Harville and Jacob Neill
2 sisters, Robbie Mae Inman of Selmer, Tennessee and Mary Lois Dickerson of Savannah, Tennessee.
Mrs. Murphy was also preceded in death by one son, James Tim Murphy.
