Juanita Virginia Winters Fry

May 11, 1936 — January 18, 2025

Juanita Virginia Winters Fry was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 11, 1936, the daughter of the late Andrew and Myrtle Winters.

She was united in marriage to James Edward Fry, who preceded his wife in death on August 13, 1968.

Mrs. Fry worked mainly as a house wife, taking care of her children and her home. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir. Your Grace and Mercy and Another Day's Journey were a couple of her favorite songs. She always enjoyed going to church up until she was no longer able to attend due to her health. Juanita was loved by everyone she came in contact with and was known to everyone as Momma Fry. She loved the Lord and never doubted her destiny. She would always let it be known that when her number was called, that she would be ready. She always told us to hang on and never let go of the knot at the end of the rope. When someone told her they loved her, she would always say "I love you just a little bit more". Mrs. Juanita was blessed to birth 9 children and all of them are still here to witness her HomeGoing.

Mrs. Juanita departed this life on January 18, 2025 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 7 days.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Fry of Grand Prairie, Texas and Irish Fry, Boris Fry, Valerie Burge (Dewayne), Norris Williams, Gregory Williams, Melody Fryson, Stacy Williams, Selassie Fry, and a bonus son, Kenneth Youngblood, all of Savannah, Tennessee; 15 grandkids, Dianise Morrison, Lazari Yancy, Cicely Fry, Nikki Fry, Sesame Fry, Shucara Fry, Norrisa Williams, Shaneilya Williams, Gregory Williams, Omar Farris, Geraldo Weatherspoon, Tameria Williams, Nicholas Laffoon, Mautresity Fry, Hallie Fry, and a bonus granddaughter, Wendy Cornelius; 17 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her four brothers, Truman Winters, Hillard Winters, Alex Young, and William Winters; three sisters, Lucy Winters, Albanie Word, and Mattie Mae Jackson; and one granddaughter, Shrondia Fry.
