Mrs. Fields passed away Saturday evening at Covington Manor in Covington.
The widow of James E. Fields, who died on May 9, 1999, she was a homemaker. She was born to John Grover Cox and Ottie Lucille King Cox, both of whom preceded her in death and lived in Memphis most of her life, with the last two years in Covington. She was a charter member of St. Matthews Methodist Church in Memphis where she had been very active in the past and was a member of UMW.
Survivors include two sons, James D. and his wife Sandra Bobbitt Fields of Covington and Charles Randy Fields of Memphis; a daughter in law, Kaye Montgomery Fields of Germantown; a brother, Harold Cox and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Selmer; five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Oliver Eugene Fields; two sisters, Babe Ruth Moore and Darrell Fry; and a brother, Vernon Cox.
