Juanita Daniel

March 24, 1916 — January 26, 2012

Mrs. Juanita W. Daniel, age 95 of Grand Junction, departed this life Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Collierville.



She was born in Knobel, AR March 24, 1916 to the late Starling Franklin and Lola Waddle Wills. She was the widow of William Simpson Daniel and had lived in Grand Junction since 1928. She worked for Rogers and Sons Monuments from 1966 to 1998.



At the age of 12 she became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grand Junction where she served on many committees and sang in the chorus. She served as Secretary and Treasurer of the church from 1979-1988 and also served in many positions with the UMW.



She was a prominent member of the community, serving as an active member of the Grand Junction Ruritan Club and volunteering at the Bird Dog Museum. She was always there when someone needed help.



She is survived by a son, William Kenneth Daniel and wife Ann of Collierville, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.



In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Shelby Geraine Wills and Melvin Franklin Wills.
