Joycelyn Anderson

Joycelyn Smith Anderson of Clifton, TN was born August 24, 1930 in Fowler, Kansas, the daughter of the late Clifford E. and Dolores Barrow Smith. She was united in marriage to James Harold Anderson on April 11, 1948.



Mrs. Anderson was a beautician and homemaker . She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Clifton, Tennessee where she served as Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the F. C. E. Club, was a Clifton Chamber of Commerce volunteer, and was a Boardmember of the Presbyterian Church Day Care Center.



Mrs. Anderson departed this life on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 4 Months, 28 Days.



She is survived by her husband, James Harold Anderson of Clifton, TN; two sons, Jimmy Neil Anderson of Jackson, TN, Harold Douglas Anderson of Clifton, TN; a daughter, Dolores Nan Eliasen of Clear Lake, IA; three grandchildren, Dr. Kane L. Anderson, Stephanie Ann Eliasen Bohlman, Stacie Marie Eliasen; three great-grandchildren, Willoughby Anderson, Ellis Anderson, Roan Anderson; two brothers, Gary E. Smith of Boulder, CO, Gaylan K. Smith of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Phyllis K. West of Borger, TX, Judy A. Tindell of Oklahoma City, OK. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gayla Lynn Anderson.



Services will be held on Tuesday,January 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Dr. Michael Bradley, Bro. James Roundtree, and Bro. Robert Sadler officiating. Burial will follow in the Culp Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, directing. Pallbearers will Jerry Anderson, Brian Fain, Terry McDonald, Brent Scott, Adley Hardin, and Dan Spoerl. Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2011 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at the funeral home. Her body will be placed in the church at 9:30 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2011.
