Joyce M. Ramer

Joyce M. Ramer of Selmer was born on June 18, 1930, to the late Virgil W. Massengill and Ora Carothers Massengill. She was united in marriage to Joel Jett Ramer on November 2, 1949. Mr. Ramer preceded her in death on December 19, 1993.She was a member of Selmer First Christian Church and was retired from Selmer Bank and Trust Company.Mrs. Ramer passed from this life on Friday, October 31, 2008, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 78 years, 4 Months, and 12 Days.Survivors are two daughters, Kim Ramer Ayers and husband Ron of Martin, Tennessee, and Marcia Ramer Sutton and husband Steve of Marion, Arkansas.Also survived by five grandchildren: Joel Robert Ayers, Nicholas Ramer Sutton, Paige Ayers Clendenin, Benjamin Allen Sutton, and Laura Kim SuttonSeven Great-Grandchildren: Graclyn Raye Ayers, Jett Haywood Sutton, Neely Clay Clendenin, Roany Kay Clendenin, Carter Wade Ayers, Bren Bratcher Sutton, and Parker West SuttonAlso survived by a special friend, Lewis Hubbert, of Selmer, and a host of other relatives and friends.Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. Ramer was also preceded in death by a sister Lillian Kathleen Massengill.
