Memorial Services for Joyce Ann Combs, age 67, of Rose Drive Florence, AL will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Florence, Alabama, with Philip Dietz and Troy Nelson officiating. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.Joyce died at her home Thursday, August 14, 2008. She was born August 22, 1940 in Detroit, MI to the late William A. Green and Frances M. Theibault Green Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Combs. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by a son, Cameron Starr Hopkins and a daughter, Karen Joyce Combs. She was employed at Lauderdale County Health Department as a home health nurse. She was a Jehovah's Witness.She is survived by two daughters, Denice A. Wilson of Florence, AL, and Jeneen L. Bowen of Cypress Inn, TN; son, Eugene Combs Jr. of Florence, AL; brother, William Green of St. Louis, MO and a sister, Michelle Putman of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren, Anthony D. Myrick, Joseph L. Myrick, Alicia Combs, and Rachel Combs; two great grandchildren, Levi G. Myrick and Emma Grace Robb.
