Services for Josie Evelyn Horton, 85, Collinwood, TN, will be Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood with Greg Eaton and John E. Banks officiating. Burial will be in Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County arranging. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She died at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Saturday, July 21, 2007.



Mrs. Horton, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, James Robert and Lina Maybelle Vickery Reaves, husband, John E. Horton, son, E.J. Horton, brothers, R. B. and Jay Reaves, and sister, Esther Carlton.

(Wanda) Horton, Savannah, daughters, Linda Sue (Roy) Cypert, Barbara Arlene (Randall) White, all of Bristol, IN, Judy Ann (Dennis) Thompson, Collinwood, Teresa Kay Horton, Jackson, TN, Janice Gail (Jeff) Hunt, Waynesboro, brothers, Lee Reaves, Florence, AL, Richard Warren Reaves, Florence, AL, Lee Reaves, Red Boiling Springs, TN, sisters, Mary Lois Horton, Collinwood, Shirley Jean Clemmons, Florence, AL, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
