Josephine Louise Massey

Josephine Anderson Massey, age 77, died November 6, 2005, at Jackson General Hospital.



She is survived by a son Gary Massey and a daughter Glenda Massey; a brother David Anderson and a sister Clara Stockwell all of Henderson. She also has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.



She was born in Milledgeville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late David Thomas Anderson, Sr. and Mamie Moore Anderson. She attended schools in Chester County. She moved to Memphis and worked for Kay's cookies. She returned to Henderson and worked for Salant & Salant. She was married to Ben A. Massey in 1952. They lived in several area towns where Mr. Massey worked for the telephone Company. She attended beauty school in Selmer and operated her own beauty shop and also was an instructor at Claytee's Beauty School in Selmer. She had lived in Panama City, FL for several years and worked at the Holiday Inn. She moved back to Henderson in 1993, and made her home with her son Gary.
