Josephine Bain

Ms. Bain died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Savannah Health Care Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 5 days.She was born on July 22, 1914 the daughter of the late James P. Bain and Mary Watson Bain. She was a graduate of Saltillo High School and received a B. S. degree in education from Peabody College. She taught elementary education classes for 41 years. She was a member of the Hardin County Retired Teachers Association and a charter member of the Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. In 1976, she received the honor of the County and District Teacher of the Year. She was a member of the Savannah First United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, James P. and Mary Watson Bain, an infant sister, Grace Kyle Bain and sister, Blanche Powers Bain.Surviving relatives include cousins, Lorena Kerr, Leo Watson and Annie Laura Akin.
