JOSEPH N. YOUNG
was born in Smithville, Mississippi on November 9, 1935 the son of the late Kelly Nathan and Ruth Delrie Burdine Young.
Joseph served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Walker Manufacturing. Joseph was a former resident of Aberdeen, Mississippi, Marshall, Michigan, and Dayton, Ohio before retiring in the 90's in Pickwick, Tennessee. He loved his church, the Savannah Church of Christ. Joseph loved to fix things and tinker with anything mechanical. His greatest joy was being with his family at his place in Pickwick.
Joseph departed this life on December 20, 2018 in Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 11 days.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda Rodgers and her husband Ted of Pickwick, Tennessee; grandchildren, Amber Massey, Amy Garrett, Ashley Craig, Rick Rodgers, Kyle Rodgers and Kevin Rodgers; great grandchildren, Brent Massey, Blake Massey, Bella Garrett, Reid Garrett, Tenley Garrett, Ryan Rodgers, Will Rodgers, Josh Rodgers and Kesler Rodgers.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Young.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Savannah Church of Christ.
The family of Joseph Young will be having a private funeral ceremony.
