Joseph Ralph Rich

Joseph Ralph Rich of Collinwood, TN was born February 16, 1927 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late John L. and Winnie Wilkerson Rich. He was united in marriage to Nelda Faye Hunt on July 9, 1967.
Mr. Rich was a retired from Ford Motor Company and was owner and operator of Ralph's Auto Sales in Collinwood. He was a member of the Collinwood United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, and served in the United States Army Air Force and the United States Navy from 1945 to 1953. Mr. Rich served as a county commissioner for Wayne County from 1978 to 1982.
Mr. Rich departed this life on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home at the age of 86 Years, 3 Months. He was a friend to everyone and loved by all, especially his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Faye Hunt Rich of Collinwood, TN; a son, Anthony Rich and wife, Holly of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Bryant and husband, Robert of Collinwood, TN, Martha Johnson and husband, Tim of Forest Park, GA, Vickey Victory and husband, Gary of Collinwood, TN, Belinda Andrews and husband, Phillip of Collinwood, TN, and Michelle Lee Summers of Florence, AL; grandchildren, Jeremy Bryant and wife, Christy, Jace Bryant and wife, Jen, Justin Bryant and wife, Amanda, Robyn Bryant, Adam Haggard and wife, Chassidy, Skye Lester, Jacob Victory and wife, Leanna, Leandra Roberts and husband, Brandin, Ashley Victory, Tanner and Hunter Andrews, and Josey Rich; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Emma, Kace, Ty, Jacey, and Jameson Bryant, Amarion and Joseph Ryder Haggard, Harper Victory, and Maddox, Kaelynn, Aiden, and Brilee Roberts; brothers, J. W. Rich and wife, Donna of Collinwood, TN and Norman Rich and wife, Deloris of Muscle Shoals, AL; sisters, Ocie Richerson of Waynesboro, TN and Genevie Horton of Florence, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rich was preceded in death by brothers, Granville, Gaynes, and Raymond Rich; sisters, Hazel Holt and Winnie Mae Grimes; and three infant siblings.
Services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Collinwood United Methodist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tommy Flood and William Beal officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jeremy, Jace, and Justin Bryant, Tanner and Hunter Andrews, Jacob Victory, and Adam Haggard.
