Josie Melson was born on April 6, 1944 in Cavite City, Philippines, the daughter of the late Mansueto and Maria Tosco Matulac.
On August 25, 1967, she was united in marriage to Loyd N. Melson, who survives.
Josie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in the home as a housewife and also worked for a few years at Savannah Manufacturing before retiring to stay with family and grandchildren. Josie was a member of Pyburn Union Church.
Josie Melson departed this life on March 19, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 13 days.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Loyd N. Melson of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Mary Love and her husband Jeff of Adamsville, Tennessee; son, Paul Melson of Medina, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Hannah Love-Cupples and her husband Zac of Lehi, Utah, Madison Love-Fielder and her husband Jason of Adamsville, Tennessee, Sarah Beth Love of Adamsville, Tennessee, Nate Melson of Medina, Tennessee, and Audrey Melson of Midland, Michigan.
