Johnny B. Townsend, 49, of Rogers Springs, died Saturday morning, April 23 at his home.
He was most recently a roofer having previously worked at
Sequentia and a local sawmill. Mr. Townsend was born May 9, 1955 in Grand Junction to Vester Townsend of Rogers Springs and the late Mary Onis Walls Townsend and lived here all of his life. He was Church of Christ in belief.
Services were 2 pm Monday, April 25, at Shackelford Funeral Director's Middleton Chapel with Skippy Rowland officiating. Burial was at Rogers Springs Cemetery.
In addition to his father, survivors include two sisters and one brother, Helen Manley, Brenda Townsend and Mark Townsend, all of Rogers Springs; three nieces; three great nieces and one great nephew. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Townsend and one niece, Kelly Townsend.
