Mr. Stewart passed away Wednesday night at his home.
The husband of Nell Stewart, who survives, he was a self-employed mechanic. He was born October 5, 1922 to the late Lee and Eula Casey Stewart in Hardeman County and lived here all his life. He graduated with the class of 1941 from Middleton High school. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
In addition to his wife, whom he married June 19, 1949, survivors include four daughters, Rita Kennedy, Elaine Kirk, Pattie Maxwell and Tracy Stewart, all of Middleton; one son, Andy Stewart of Middleton; one sister, Frances Roberts of Arkansas; one brother, Howard Stewart of Eads; four grandchildren, Jon Maxwell, Alex Kirk, Ami Darling and Joshua Stewart; and five great-granchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
