John M. Smithwas born in Savannah, Tennessee on March 8, 1941 the son of the late John W. and Myrtle Smith.On April 20, 1962 he was united in marriage to Margaret Fielder, who survives.Mr. Smith was a clerk for Brown Walker Supply Co. and attended Barnhill Methodist Church. He loved to talk on the CB and play with his grandkids.Mr. Smith departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the age of 67 years, 8 months, 19 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Smith is survived by a son: David Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Lynn Blount and Gwen Stone both of Savannah, Tennessee: a brother: Jack H. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; a sister: Dale White of Savannah, Tennessee; a halfsister: May Grayson of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren: Zack Shelby, Hali Smith, and Patience Smith.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Landis W. Smith; 2 sisters: Reba Kirkpatrick and Virginia Smith.
