John Norris Riley

Mr. John Norris Riley was born December 8, 1934 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Grady and Lois Conway Riley. He was united in marriage to the former Doris Lewis on December 24, 1957. Mrs. Riley preceded him in death on November 17, 2019. Mr. Riley worked for Crounse Corporation as a riverboat Captain until his retirement in July of 1982, he was a member of the steelworkers union and a member of the Clifton Church of Christ. Mr. Riley departed this life on May 2, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee making his stay in this life some 87 Years, 4 Months and 24 Days.

He is survived by a daughter, Rita Riley of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Johnna Willis, Tara Anderson; and three great grandchildren, Jaleigh Powell, Eli Reedus and Chase Willis.

In addition to his wife of 61 years and parents, Mr. Riley was preceded in death by two daughters, Annette Gobbell, Connie Anderson; and a brother, Edward Riley.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday May 8, 2022 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Waynesboro at 2:00 PM with Tracy Love officiating.
