John Wayne Replogle was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on July 27, 1941, the son of the late Bedford and Pearlie Mae Spencer Replogle.
On February 17, 1968, he was united in marriage to Barbara Wilkerson, who survives. John Wayne was a resident of McNairy County for 20 years and Hardin County for 26 years. He served his Country in the United States Army where he had basic training in St. Louis, Missouri and went to Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. John Wayne was a shap shooter and received a Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee and was employed with Savannah Utility Department for 13 years. He loved animals of all types and riding horses, he especially loved his children and grandchildren.
John Wayne departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, 29 days.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Wilkerson Replogle of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Christopher Wayne Replogle of Selmer, Tennessee; daughter, Julie Ann Replogle of Savannah, Tennessee; granddaughter, Allison Lane Replogle; sister, Peggy Freeman of Humboldt, Tennessee; brothers, twin brother Ernest Replogle and Joe Replogle both of Bethel Springs, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shane Allen Replogle; brothers, Robert, B.B., Kenneth, and Guy Mac Replogle.
