John Earl Pickard

JOHN EARL (BUDDY) PICKARD, JR.was born in Tipton County, Tennessee on July 31, 1924 the son of the late John Earl and Ethel Anderson Pickard.On December 1, 1967 he was united in marriage to the former Virginia Christine Clark, who preceded her husband in death on April 12, 2005.Mr. Pickard was a heavy machine operator for Operators of Engineers Local 369 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Pickard was a member of Love and Truth Church. He was a Merchant Marines Veteran. Mr. Pickard loved to play dominos and have fun with his friends and loved to pick at the ladies.He departed this life on September 21, 2007 at the Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 21 days.Mr. Pickard is survived by one daughter, Linda Lewis of Medina, Tennessee.3 sons, Larry Workman of Memphis, Tennessee, David Workman of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Mathew C. Workman, Sr. of Muskegon, Michigan.6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildMr. Pickard was also preceded in death by one sister, Juanita McMillin and one brother, Jerry Pickard.
