John Robert Payne

John Robert Payne, Jr., age 31 of Huntersville, passed from this life Saturday, November 1, 2008.He was born December 20, 1976 in Somerville, TN to John Robert Payne, Sr. of Oakland and Darla Randolph Payne of Whiteville. He married Rhonda Linett Cross and worked in construction for Bowen Construction Company in Jackson. He lived most of his life in Whiteville and was a member of the Greater Vision Baptist Church in Jackson. He loved his family and was fond of cooking.In addition to his wife, mother and father survivors include a stepmother, Connie Payne of Oakland, a grandmother, Oleta Randolph of Whiteville; two half sisters, Randie Payne of Jackson and Rhonda Watson of Bolivar; a half brother, Jimmy Payne of Iraq; four aunts, Patricia Ney of Maytown, PA, Joleta Raines of Whiteville, Mary Randolph of Whiteville, and Sherrie Lewis of Montgomery, TX; an uncle, Mike Randolph of Whiteville; and fourteen first cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sherman Randolph, an uncle, Robert L. Hopper and a cousin, Seth Searles.
