John Richard (Johnny) Nichols
was born in Greenville, Alabama on July 15, 1952 the son of Judy Satterfield Nichols and the late Paul Eugene Nichols.
Johnny, as he was known by everyone, served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He worked various construction jobs, towboat worker, and worked in maintenance for over 10 years for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Johnny was a member of the American Legion. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and being on his computer.
He departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 9 days.
Johnny is survived by his mother, Judy Nichols of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Randy Nichols of Knoxville, Tennessee and Jeff Nichols of Savannah, Tennessee; nephew, Ross Nichols of Nashville, Tennessee; and nieces, LeeAnne Gerrity and Chelsea Roberson, both of Knoxville, Tennessee.
