John Larry Melson

John Larry Melson departed this life on Monday July 18, 2016, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 17 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, where he lived all his life, on August 1, 1952, son of the late John Henry and Liddie Chaney Melson.

John Larry had been a logger for Melson Logging for twenty years. He had previously worked for Savannah Homes for six years and Clayton Mobile Homes for fifteen years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Savannah Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Melson of Florence, Alabama; grandchildren, Savannah Melson and Johnathon Melson; brothers, Randy Melson and Jeff Melson both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Becky Grady and Margaret Kay both of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John Anthony Melson; a sister, Mary White; and a brother, Ronnie Steven Melson.
