JOHN PAUL MATHEWS
Was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 6, 1917 the son of the late Milton Powell and Dora Bell Gray Mathews.
On August 17, 1947 he was united in marriage to the former Cornelia Altha, who survives.
Mr. Mathews was a plumber. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Mathews was a member of Eureka Methodist Church.
He departed this life on November 23, 2005 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 17 days.
Other than his wife, Cornelia of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by one daughter, Linda Harmon of Savannah.
One grandson, Brent Harmon of Savannah.
2 great-grandsons, Ben and Cade Harmon, both of Savannah.
