John Frank Martin

John Frank Martin, age 65, was born January 3, 1944 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late James Earl and Ruth Morris Martin. Mr. Martin died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital . In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by two brothers, James Earl Martin, Jr. and Raleigh Martin. A U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany, Mr. Martin was a member of the American Legion and served on the Nursing Home Board for 3 terms. He was a cattle farmer and had operated Berry's One Stop for over 44 years.



He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Stults and husband Jeremiah; two grandchildren, Isabelle and Olivia Stults all of Collinwood; sisters, Earlene Haynes of Franklin, TN, Mary Ellen Berry and husband O.C., Jr. of Cypress Inn, TN, Doris Stults and husband Bobbie Gene of Iron City, TN, and half-sister, Dianne Butler and husband Russ of Iron City;

special nieces, Susan and Nancy Morgan, and Lillie Ruth Brewer,

several nieces, nephews, and many friends.



Services are Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback and Josh Stults officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.



Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2009 5:00-9:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM until service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood.



Pallbearers are Tony Morgan, John A. Morgan, Dennis Brewer, John Berry Morgan, Phillip Berry, II, and Kenny Martin;
