John Wesley Lowrance

John Wesley Lowrance of Hornsby, Tennessee, was born on October 20, 1943, in McNairy County to Mary Evelyn Dillon Lowrance of Bethel Springs and the late John Hugh Lowrance. He was united in marriage to Linda Knight on November 18, 1967. Mr. Lowrance worked for 20 years at the tannery in Bolivar, Tennessee,and was also a logger. He passed from this life on Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his home in Hornsby.Survivors are his wife Linda Lowrance of Hornsby; two daughters, Lisa Newman and husband Jason of Hornsby and Tracy Cox and husband Allen of Salem, Illinois; a son, John Alan Lowrance of Hornsby; his mother, Mary Evely Lowrance of Bethel Springs; a sister, Faye Jeanette Jernigan of Selmer; three brothers, Joe Lowrance of Hornsby, Ricky Lowrance and Larry Lowrance both of Bethel Springs; four grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two great-grandchildren.A host of other relatives and friends.Other than his father, Mr. Lowrance was also preceded in death by a sister Glenda Sue King and a brother Jimmy Lee Lowrance.
