John David Kilburn

Services for John David Kilburn of Waynesboro will be Friday, June 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Copeland Cemetery near Collinwood, Tennessee. John David Kilburn was born June 1, 1936 in Wayne County, Tennessee the son of the late Willie C. and Rosie Murphy Kilburn. Mr. Kilburn departed this life Monday, June 1, 2009 at his home at the age of 73 Years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kilburn was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Kilburn; and a sister, Grace Huckaba. David began working at an early age on the family farm and McGee farms before his employment at Murray Ohio Manufacturing. In 1978 David began working at Beavers Tie and Lumber Company, retiring after 22 years. David loved farming, hunting, and being in the woods. He also loved his family and friends. David was special and loved by all.He is survived by a sister, Sue Nelson and her husband Calvin of Westpoint, TN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends, and special friends, Jim Beavers and Jenny.
